Welcome
... to en passant, home to Lethe's trading card collection.Valkyrie features Rinoa Heartilly from the video game Final Fantasy VIII, but as seen in Monty Oum's CG movie Dead Fantasy - if you haven't watched it yet, you can do so on GameTrailers. The layout was named for one thing after one of Rinoa's Blaster Edges - although the one on the picture is actually called Silenced Tear -, for another thing because she reminds me of one, what with the gunblade in one hand and the shield-like Blaster Edge in the other. Addtionally, valkyries are said to be the Choosers of the Slain, who "determine the victors of battles and wars" - in Dead Fantasy II, Rinoa undoubtedly contributes a great deal to the side of the FF girls and her Lunar Cry is responsible for the pairing up at the end of the movie. ... Ugh, somehow I always feel like having to explain my reasons for naming things.
The lyrics are taken from Angel of Darkness by Alex C; the patterns and brushes are made by Shizoo. Sadly, I don't remember where I got the texture from and I do feel bad about it as I usually name the files after their sources... Anyway, this layout is best viewed in Firefox with a screen resolution of at least 1024x768.
en passant is named after a chess move; translated, it means in passing. TCGs come and go as time goes by - they do not last forever. Yet, while they do last, I think that we should strive to do our best to make the time worthwhile.
